Muckross Rowing Club is based at Muckross Road in Killarney, County Kerry. Rowing Ireland lists the club for river rowing, coastal sculling and coastal sweep rowing, and local accounts place Killarney's rowing clubs on Lough Lein.

Muckross shares in the town's long fixed-seat tradition through Killarney Regatta, described as Ireland's oldest surviving regatta. In 2022 the club marked the 50th anniversary of its crew winning the regatta's senior four-oar race in 1972.

The club also developed a full sliding-seat programme. A history of rowing in Killarney records 32 Muckross national championships from 1996 across junior to senior categories.

Its recent programme spans large junior and adult entries. At the 2023 Irish Championships, Muckross entered 34 crews from Junior 16 to Intermediate; its men's Junior 18 quad won silver, with further medals in the Junior 18 and Junior 16 doubles.

In 2025 the club raced at winter time trials and regattas including Skibbereen, Bantry, Castleconnell, Lee, Cork City and Fermoy. Muckross crews won nine gold medals at the Rowing Ireland 1K Classic, while four masters members returned from the World Rowing Masters Regatta in Spain as gold medallists.

Muckross has also represented Ireland in offshore rowing. Finn and Caoimhe O'Sullivan became the club's first entrants at the World Coastal Rowing Championships when they raced a mixed double in Portugal in 2021.
