Tralee Rowing Club rows on the Ship Canal in Tralee, County Kerry. Mary Bonner and Ed Sheldon officially founded the club in September 2005, and the first committee comprised Bonner as chair, Laura Tangney as secretary and Pat Daly as treasurer.

Before 2012, club fundraising paid for equipment and expansion. Fundraising from 2012 onward was directed to constructing a boathouse, establishing a permanent base beside the canal.

The club has youth and adult rowers across a range of ages and abilities. Membership begins in September and prospective members join a waiting list before places are allocated.

Tralee trains both on the canal and indoors. When essential works left the canal drained for five months, adult and youth members continued in the gym and raced at Head of the River and indoor events before returning to their home water in 2022.

A 45-person entry at the 2023 Skibbereen Grand League Regatta ranged from junior 14 to masters. Tralee recorded wins in the men's junior 15 and junior 18B singles and the women's masters coxed quad, alongside several final placings.

Sean Morris was selected for Ireland at the 2023 Coupe de la Jeunesse in Amsterdam. Rowing Ireland also selected Tralee's Zoe Hyde for the women's double sculls at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

The club's masters programme has reached international competition. Paula Moloney, Jim Breen and James Morris represented Tralee at the 2022 World Rowing Masters Regatta in Libourne, with Moloney finishing 0.04 seconds from first in her single and the three members recording further top-three results in composite crews.
