Workmen's Rowing Club was founded in 1920 and is based at Reen beside Ross Castle in Killarney, County Kerry. Its boathouses stand on Lough Leane and have served as the club's home since the 1920s.

The club is part of Killarney's long-established local rowing tradition. The Killarney Regatta archive records Workmen first competing there in 1923 and appearing at 61 editions through 2011, with 229 recorded results across 20 events.

Workmen races traditional Killarney sixes as well as sliding-seat and coastal boats. Its 2024 programme included the Killarney Regatta, flatwater regattas at Skibbereen, Lee and Bantry, and the Head of the Lake coastal time trial on Lough Leane.

The club recruits young beginners. A 2024 open-day notice invited fifth- and sixth-class boys and girls to try rowing at Ross Castle, while training continued for existing members ahead of the spring regatta season.

At the 2019 All-Ireland Coastal Rowing Championships in Dingle, Workmen won seven gold, seven silver and nine bronze medals. The gold-medal categories included under-14 girls, under-16 girls, under-18 women, under-21 women, women's sprint, senior mixed and masters women.

Workmen also entered Ireland's first offshore beach-sprint regatta at Ballinskelligs Beach in 2021. Contemporary coverage identifies Sarah O'Leary in the single and Aoife Cronin with Sarah McCarthy in a Workmen's crew.

Rowing Ireland currently lists the club at Reen for river, coastal-scull and coastal-sweep rowing. The governing body's Grand League table also records Workmens with points in both men's and women's divisions.
