Horowhenua Rowing Club rows on the Manawatu River loop at Foxton, from a base on Harbour Street. It describes itself as the rowing club for Levin, Palmerston North and the area between, and the Foxton loop is well protected from the weather.
It is a small club with both competitive members and members who row socially. The club is recruiting former rowers and plans to extend this to people new to rowing.
Club rows are held on Sunday mornings at 9am and, during daylight saving, on Thursdays at 5.45pm. The Sunday row is followed by coffee and cake.
