Onslow College Rowing Club is the school's rowing programme and is affiliated to Wellington Rowing Club, which is based by the lagoon on Taranaki St Wharf on the Wellington waterfront. Students row for Wellington Rowing Club at local regattas and for Onslow College at championship and secondary school regattas, including the Maadi Cup.
The season opens with a Learn to Row programme in August and a camp at the end of Term 3, then runs through the summer holidays until March. Novice squads train four to five times a week from October to December, rising to as many as seven sessions a week before championship regattas. Venues include Wellington Harbour, the Whanganui River, Wairarapa and Lake Karapiro.
At the 2024 Maadi Cup a girls' under 16 double scull won bronze. In 2026 the squad reached 18 finals from 34 races at the College Sport Auckland championships at Lake Karapiro, and an under 16 double scull won bronze at the North Island Secondary Schools championships before the squad travelled to the Maadi Cup in Twizel.
