Worcester Rowing Club is based beside the River Severn and Worcester Racecourse on Grandstand Road. The present club was formed in 1874 when surviving occupational and social rowing clubs in the city combined.

Its own history lists earlier Worcester clubs dating from the 1840s onward, including Ariel, Nil Desperandum, Intrepid and Sabrina. The club says organised rowing races in Worcester can be traced back about 210 years.

Current squads include men, women, masters, juniors, scullers, novices and recreational rowers. Adult beginners can join annual Go Row and coxing courses, and the club welcomes people of different ages and abilities for competitive or recreational participation.

The home reach provides about 6,000 metres of water. The club also describes extensive land-training facilities and a clubhouse overlooking the Severn.

Worcester races locally, nationally and internationally. Its 2025 news records a Henley Women's Regatta win in aspirational lightweight sculls, four gold medals for its masters women at the British Rowing Masters Championships and a Henley Masters win.
