About this club
Kinross Wolaroi Rowing Club is the school rowing programme of Kinross Wolaroi School in Orange. A seasonal squad of 80 to 90 rowers trains at Spring Creek Reservoir, about ten minutes from the main campus.
School magazines describe the club as six years old in 2010 and eight years old in 2012, dating its formation to 2004. By 2010 it had won four medals at the Australian Championships and the overall points score at the Schoolboys Head of the River.
Kinross says it has been the top-performing school at the NSW State Championships since 2021. At the 2024 championships its rowers won four gold, seven silver and two bronze medals, followed by five gold, two silver and four bronze in 2025.
The 2024 national championships produced five gold, two silver and three bronze medals, making Kinross the best-performing school and sixth club overall. The 2025 national campaign returned ten medals, and in 2026 the school again led the schools at the NSW championships with eight medals.
The rowing team also led the Spring Creek Regeneration Project with local government and community partners. World Rowing recognised that work with its 2019 Sustainability Award for water stewardship, education and community involvement.
