Maroochy River Rowing Club is a youth-focused, volunteer-run club at Muller Park in Bli Bli, on the Maroochy River. Its programmes serve beginners through to rowers seeking state and national selection.
Russell and Donna Muller established the club in 2012 to develop teenagers from Sunshine Coast schools and universities. The club says it began with one boat and a small group of rowers, then developed year-round programmes and higher-level coaching.
The club's current priorities include expanding school partnerships and Learn to Row, creating a pathway from beginner to high performance, strengthening volunteer support and improving river access and facilities.
A seven-day Learn to Row course in April 2026 taught the fundamentals for social, fitness, school, club or high-performance rowing. Membership categories include competitive high-school and university rowers.
Djamila Heinz and Georgia Smythe were selected for the 2025 Queensland Pathways Team. The club also sent three rowers to the 2025 Australian Rowing Championships and entered the four-regatta Schools Conference series at Wyaralong Dam.
The club runs social rows as well as competitive training and regatta travel. Its published 2026 calendar includes Brisbane Series events and the Australian Beach Sprints Championships, while its Bli Bli address is 20 Muller Park Road.
