About this club

Oxenford Rowing Club is a volunteer-run community club at the Coomera Water Sports precinct in Water Sports Lane, Oxenford, on the Gold Coast. Its own description calls it a small and friendly club.

The club has access to Oxenford Lake and the Coomera River. Its site says the lake remains calm and is unaffected by floods and debris, while the river provides more than 20 kilometres of rowable water.

Oxenford caters for recreational and competitive rowers from juniors through to Masters. It offers separate adult and junior learn-to-row courses, with current course listings showing coached sessions at the Coomera Lake shed.

The organisation states that it is entirely volunteer-run and pays none of its members for their club services. Its Australian Business Number has been active under Oxenford Rowing Club Inc. since 20 February 2009, though no source found states an exact foundation date.

Rowing Queensland lists Oxenford among the current Gold Coast and western clubs. Its 2017 annual report recorded Oxenford scoring points in both the Queensland Club Premiership and Hinchy Trophy.

Queensland's Gambling Community Benefit Fund awarded the club $10,487 in 2020 for sports equipment, a boat and trailer. A later 2026 grant provided $29,670 for equipment, while the club also reported a City of Gold Coast divisional grant in November 2024.
