UTS Haberfield Rowing Club is based on Dobroyd Parade, Haberfield, on Sydney's Iron Cove. It was formed as Haberfield Rowing Club on 11 March 1925 and has operated on Iron Cove continuously since then.
The club partnered with the University of Technology Sydney in 1992. The licensed premises and rowing operation became separate entities, and the rowing club continued as UTS Haberfield Rowing Club Inc.
University and club investment in 2013 to 2014 created a modern rowing facility. Published UTS information records a full boat fleet, gym and indoor rowing space, while membership is open beyond UTS students and staff.
Current programmes include elite pathway, development, club, alumni, junior and school squads. A learn-to-row option is free for UTS students and staff, and competitive members race at NSW state and national championships.
From 1992 to 2020, the club produced 42 Olympians, including 16 Olympic medallists. It is now a recognised Rowing Australia high-performance club, with annual Australian representatives across Under 19, Under 21, Under 23 and senior levels and racing opportunities at Henley Royal Regatta, Holland Beker and other international events.
