Diocesan School for Girls rowers row from the Auckland Rowing Club on the Tamaki River at Flat Rock, Mt Wellington, Auckland, where the school is one of the club's member schools.
Rowing is one of the school's summer sports. The Dio Rowing squad races through the season at regattas including the Head of Harbour on Lake Pupuke, the North Island Club Championships, the College Sport Auckland Championships and the North Island Secondary Schools Regatta at Lake Karapiro, before the Maadi Regatta.
At the 2025 Maadi Regatta on Lake Karapiro, 40 rowers reached 10 A finals and won 1 gold, 2 silver and 1 bronze medal, with the girls' under 15 coxed eight taking gold. In 2026 the squad won the points trophy for top overall school at the Head of Harbour regatta, and 43 rowers raced at the Maadi Regatta on Lake Ruataniwha, winning silver in the girls' under 15 coxed octuple sculls and bronze in the girls' under 17 coxed eight.
