North Shore Rowing Club rows on Lake Pupuke and the Upper Harbour on Auckland's North Shore, with clubrooms in Takapuna. The club dates from 1874 and describes itself as one of the oldest clubs in New Zealand.
It has close to 300 active members training out of three facilities on the North Shore, and offers school, club and masters rowing. The learn to row programme is based at Lake Pupuke, and the club does not recruit athletes aged 16 or younger into it.
Intermediate, club and senior crews train on the Upper Harbour and race at regattas through the season, ending at the New Zealand Rowing Championships. The masters squad trains on Lake Pupuke, takes adults learning to row or returning to the sport, and runs regular learn to row courses for masters.
The club has won several national championship titles in recent years and keeps lists of its New Zealand representatives, junior representatives and national champions. Its stated values are respect, aspiration, teamwork and enjoyment.
