Juniors and Families

Put family admin in the parent's hands.

A guardian signs into their own account, connected to each junior they support. Parents handle regatta replies, charges and member details. Coaches and club leaders keep oversight of junior messaging through controls designed for staff.

How can rowing clubs give parents access without sharing junior logins?

Rowing software can link a parent's personal guardian account with one or several junior profiles. The adult manages attendance replies, payments, consent and emergency contacts through a family area. Juniors retain separate access. Direct messages to them are limited to coaches and club leads, backed by staff moderation, reporting and audited conversation access.

Every Row HQ band carries the guardian area and junior safeguards. The band for 20 active members or fewer is free. Compare larger club sizes on the regional pricing page.

A practical view for families and the boatshed

Parents maintain what belongs to the household. Authorised club staff work with the full junior roster.

Junior profile

Keep family information usable

Contact information, emergency people, consent status, plus swimming and tread-water declarations sit together on the member profile. Guardians can amend their junior's relevant details.

The product holds membership information, not medical histories or health forms.

Parent roster

Know which adult is connected

The club roster stays available to permitted staff. Each guardian sees their linked juniors only, and the same account can cover siblings in different squads.

A club may invite the young rower through a guardian, while adults may also register in the guardian path.

Family payments

Let the adult settle the charge

Parents pay their child's charges with the payment methods already offered by the club. Cards use the club's Stripe account, and treasurers can enter a bank transfer.

There is no extra Row HQ platform fee.

Useful notices

Put updates in the family inbox

When club mail targets a junior record, Row HQ reroutes it to the linked guardians. Training changes and event details reach an adult who can respond.

The committee sends one message against the member, and the family receives it.

Retire the family admin workaround

Junior and school rowing should not depend on borrowed logins or paper moving around the boatshed.

Scattered across the club

  • Consent sheets filed separately from membership details
  • Parent answers lost in a busy group thread
  • Cash envelopes passed around at an early start
  • Families changing details through a junior account
  • Loose expectations about messaging young members

Connected in Row HQ

  • Individual guardian access linked with junior profiles
  • Family actions grouped beside the child's club record
  • Messages for young members delivered to their guardians
  • Junior DMs reserved for coaches and club leads
  • Staff moderation, reporting and logged conversation access

Purpose-built controls for junior rowing

Guardian access covers household actions. Chat oversight belongs to approved club staff, never to the guardian account.

An adult's own account

Parents and carers receive personal credentials connected to their juniors. Nobody has to reuse a young member's sign-in.

Controlled direct messages

Coaches and club leads may DM juniors. General members cannot. Each organisation sets its junior chat preferences and provides oversight.

Consent beside membership

A guardian manages consent from the family view. The result remains part of the linked junior profile.

Emergency people

At least one emergency contact is required on every profile, and a guardian can correct the junior's entry.

Swimming declarations

Swim and tread-water declarations remain visible on the member record to staff with the right access.

Guardian card display

Clubs that switch on digital membership cards also give guardians a view of each linked child's card.

Versioned documents

A revised club terms or privacy page triggers fresh acceptance, so an older agreement is not treated as current.

Audited club access

Chat offers reports and moderation. Staff access is audited, and blocking a member cannot weaken club oversight.

Connect the household to the squad

Oundle Town Rowing Club already runs Row HQ. Australian clubs and school rowing programmes get these family tools across every band.

01

Invite a guardian

Send the adult a club invitation or let them select guardian registration.

02

Family access and junior safety questions

Product answers for committees, schools, coaches and parents.

No. The parent or carer receives an independent guardian account connected with one or more juniors. Its family area covers training and event responses, charges, profile editing, emergency contacts and consent. The young member keeps their separate login.

No. Guardian profiles cannot open chat. Direct messages to a junior are restricted to coaches and club leads, and ordinary members cannot send them. Club staff oversee the space using organisation-controlled settings, reporting, moderation and audited access. The result protects the junior's privacy while keeping oversight with staff.

Row HQ redirects that club mail to the associated guardians. Staff continue to address the notice through the junior member record. A parent or carer then receives the training change, event information or account request and can respond.

The adult chooses one of the club's usual methods. Card transactions use the club's own Stripe account. If the family pays by bank transfer, the treasurer can record it in the ledger. Row HQ takes no platform fee.

A connected guardian may edit profile information, emergency contacts and consent. Each profile needs at least one emergency person, and it can also carry swim and tread-water declarations. Row HQ intentionally avoids collecting health data, medical documents or allergy lists.

Yes. Several juniors can be connected to a single guardian. The club can invite a young member by way of the adult, or the adult may start with guardian registration. Their family view then covers the relevant records, replies and charges for every linked child.

Yes. The organisation decides the junior chat settings. Conversation reporting and moderation remain available, with access recorded for audit. A member block never reduces club oversight. Guardians still have no chat view; approved club staff provide that supervision.

When digital cards are active for the club, the child's card appears in the guardian view. The parent opens it from their own profile. No shared junior password is needed.
