The rowing scene in Hamilton

Hamilton Harbour has been a competitive rowing venue since the early twentieth century. The Leander Boat Club, founded in 1927 on the south shore of Hamilton Harbour, is the citys flagship rowing club and has represented Canada at four Olympic Games. The harbour's protected waters and easy access to Lake Ontario make it a popular training venue for competitive and recreational rowers across the Golden Horseshoe.

Key numbers

Hamilton Harbour - a sheltered bay at the western end of Lake Ontario, separated from the main lake by the Burlington Beach Canal - provides calm water for training and head racing. The Bayfront Park area on the south shore is the main rowing precinct. Access through the Burlington Canal gives crews open Lake Ontario water for longer training rows.

Software for Hamilton rowing clubs

Most of the 1 clubs above still run their boat booking, member admin, session attendance and crew lineups on a combination of spreadsheets, WhatsApp groups and printed sheets on the boathouse wall. Row HQ is rowing-club management software built specifically for clubs like these.

If your committee is hitting the predictable problems - lineups in the wrong file, fees uncollected, attendance unrecorded, captain on holiday with the password - book a 30-minute demo. We've ported clubs from spreadsheets in a weekend.
