About this club
Prince Albert Drifters Rowing Club is a Saskatchewan rowing organisation based on the North Saskatchewan River. Saskatchewan Rowing’s club page places its boathouse in the 500 block of River Street West and describes the river as the club’s rowing water.
The provincial association uses the longer Prince Albert and District Rowing Club name in some page copy. Its club navigation and current board representation use Prince Albert Drifters Rowing Club.
The club offers learn-to-row and welcomes people with different levels of experience. The City of Prince Albert says its season normally runs from the May long weekend until mid-October.
A 2019 provincial annual report recorded three learn-to-row sessions, participation in the Saskatoon Rowing Club head race, a city grant for new ergometers and the purchase of a coastal double with help from Saskatchewan Rowing.
In 2021 the club also ran winter erg training in Prince Albert. That programme had six ergometers and ten regular participants by May, including several people who had not previously rowed on water.
