Brentwood College School Rowing is the school's rowing programme at its oceanfront campus in Mill Bay, British Columbia. The school is at 2735 Mount Baker Road, and its crews train and race from the campus shoreline.
Rowing at Brentwood traces back to the original Brentwood Bay campus in the 1920s. The first varsity crew's first official race was against the University of British Columbia on 26 April 1924, across Finlayson Arm.
The current programme is open to Grade 9 to 12 students and requires no previous experience. Learn-to-row sessions run through October, after which rowers train in junior under-17 and senior under-19 men's and women's groups, with novice, junior-varsity and varsity racing opportunities.
Brentwood reports 25 Olympic rowers among its alumni, including four Olympic gold medallists. The programme is led by four-time Olympian and former pupil David Calder, and its crews won five gold medals at the 2024 Canadian Secondary Schools Rowing Association Championships.
The school hosts the annual Brentwood International Regatta. It began in 1971 as a joint meet between Brentwood, Sentinel Secondary School and Seattle's Lakeside School; the 2026 event was its 54th edition and was sanctioned by Rowing Canada Aviron and Rowing BC.
The modern regatta draws high-school crews from across North America and beyond. Its programme includes novice, under-17 and under-19 racing in sculling and sweep boats.
