About this club
Club d’aviron Terrebonne rows from Parc de la Rivière at 2740 40e Avenue in Terrebonne, on the Rivière des Mille Îles. Its official history describes a 2,000-metre training course on a section where motor-boat traffic is rare.
The club traces its beginnings to spring 2006, when Groupe Plein Air Terrebonne offered rowing courses. It received formal recognition from the City of Terrebonne and the Association québécoise d’aviron in spring 2009, while storing its equipment in a shipping container.
In summer 2012, Groupe Plein Air Terrebonne and the city built the Parc de la Rivière chalet with a boat-storage area. The club reorganised its board that November and resumed activity with new momentum in spring 2013.
The current programme presents rowing as a sport for everyone. Its 2026 offer includes unlimited participation, a four-course introduction available through the summer, 15- and 25-outing packages, and sessions for corporate groups.
New members register through Rowing Canada Aviron and select Club d’aviron Terrebonne within the Quebec programmes. The club also publishes instructional material covering the basic stroke and sweep rowing.
Public discovery sessions remain part of its outreach. Its site advertised open mornings in July 2026 at Parc de la Rivière, giving residents a structured first contact with rowing on the Rivière des Mille Îles.
