About this club
Club nautique de Sherbrooke is a multi-sport paddling and rowing organisation based at Parc Lucien-Blanchard, 2255 Rue de la Pointe. Its rowing section trains on the Rivière Magog and Lac des Nations in central Sherbrooke from May to October.
The rowing club was founded in 2002 and describes itself as the first club of its kind in the Estrie region. Its wider organisation also runs canoe-kayak and dragon-boat programmes, while its stated mission combines participation with the development of high-performing athletes.
Rowing provision is divided into introduction, Sportifs, Maîtres and Maîtres Plus pathways. Beginners start on land with ergometers before moving to stable introductory boats; graduates can then enter the sport or masters groups.
The Sportifs programme develops technique, teamwork and recreational racing. Maîtres is for experienced competitors preparing for local, regional and international regattas, while Maîtres Plus offers a higher training frequency and a stronger performance focus.
The club also runs adult, adolescent and child programmes, day camps, school-group sessions and corporate activities.
Sherbrooke organises the Tête de rivière des Nations on the Rivière Magog and Lac des Nations. The third edition in June 2026 uses a five-kilometre course and follows Rowing Canada Aviron's rules of racing.
