Brock University Rowing Club is a Row Ontario member programme in St. Catharines. The Badgers men's and women's teams race from Henley Island on Martindale Pond in Port Dalhousie, where Brock has an on-site boat bay.
Brock established Canada's first varsity women's rowing programme in autumn 1967 under coaches Joe Kuzniecow and Hans Schefski. The first crew was made up of novices and trained in an eight on the Henley water.
The men's record lists 16 provincial team championships through 2025-26 and five Canadian University Rowing Championships. Brock also records nine Badgers Olympians, from Joel Finlay at Mexico City in 1968 to Tim Schrijver and Eric Woelfl at Rio in 2016.
Indoor training takes place at the Leo LeBlanc Rowing Centre in the university's Walker Complex. It contains an eight-person rowing tank, 26 ergometers, Concept2 sliders and a weight-training area.
Henley Island regularly hosts the OUA and Canadian University Rowing Championships and is home to the Brock Rowing School. The club also stages the Brock Invitational; the 2025 regatta brought together 12 university programmes and 195 entries across varsity and novice races.
In 2025, the men's team won a fifth consecutive OUA title and took five gold, two silver and two bronze medals. The women's team placed fifth at the Canadian University Rowing Championships, where its eight won national silver for the first time since 2010.
