About this club
Branksome Hall Rowing is the rowing team of Branksome Hall, an independent girls' school in Toronto. Rowing Canada Aviron lists the programme under this name, while Row Ontario lists it as Branksome Rowing at the school's 10 Elm Avenue campus.
Rowing is one of the sports in the school's Highlanders athletics programme. Branksome describes its wider athletics offer as including both competitive and developmental teams.
The rowing team competes beyond Ontario. During the 2024 autumn season it raced at the Head of the Charles in Boston and the Head of the Schuylkill in Philadelphia, taking a silver medal at the latter event. The 2025 team returned to both Boston and Philadelphia.
Branksome athletes also progress to national and university rowing. Coxswain Sabrina Seville represented Canada at CanAmMex in 2023 and the World Rowing Championships in 2024, while Jaime Taylor represented Canada at CanAmMex in 2024. Both signed with NCAA Division I programmes, at Brown and Duke respectively.
In 2025, the school reported that Seville had been selected for Canada's junior team for a third consecutive year. At the International Rowing Challenge in Michigan, her Canadian crews won two gold medals and one silver before she moved on to Brown's women's rowing team.
