About this club
LaSalle Rowing Club is a volunteer-run non-profit at 1 Laurier Drive in LaSalle, Ontario. The club rows locally while offering introductory, recreational and competitive routes for youth and adults.
David Sellars founded the organisation in 1970 as Windsor Rowing Club. It adopted the LaSalle Rowing Club name in 1995 and moved to its present Laurier Drive home in 2011.
Current programmes include learn-to-row, youth development, adult recreational rowing, competition and para rowing. Row Ontario's history also records junior, masters and indoor training activity.
Club crews have earned medals at the Royal Canadian Henley. The club's programme is not limited to racing, with recreational members and new rowers sharing the organisation with competitive squads.
LaSalle organises the Grand Challenge Cup and Head of the Grassy. These events sit alongside its learn-to-row and club training schedule.
Row Ontario recognised the club's 2022 work after 51 people attended its Come Try Rowing event. That season also marked its return to regattas in London and Peterborough.
