About this club
Queen’s University Rowing Club represents Queen’s University in Kingston and is listed by Row Ontario at 99 University Avenue. The programme competes in Ontario university and Canadian university rowing, with both men’s and women’s crews.
Kingston’s organised rowing community includes Queen’s, Kingston Rowing Club and Royal Military College rowing. The university programme has shared the city’s rowing history with those organisations, and Queen’s helped celebrate that community through the Kingston Rowing Hall of Fame.
Queen’s has a substantial championship record. In 2008 it won both the OUA men’s and women’s team titles; the official report said those results took its total since the mid-1970s to 16 OUA rowing titles.
The women won the OUA championship again in 2023 and 2024. At the 2024 championship, Queen’s crews collected eight gold and four silver medals across women’s and men’s events, and the women’s coaching staff received the OUA award.
In 2025 the women won both the OUA and Canadian University Rowing Championship team titles. The national title was the programme’s first women’s CURC championship since 2007 and its second overall; Julia Teixeira won two golds and a silver and was named CURA Female Athlete of the Year.
