About this club

Quinte Rowing Club is based at 35 Keegan Parkway in Belleville and rows on the Bay of Quinte. Its boathouse and training space sit on the Waterfront Trail and are shared at the same address with Quinte Paddling Club.

The club was founded in the summer of 1986. Row Ontario’s history of Belleville rowing credits Frank Zielski, a 1960 Olympic rower, with establishing Quinte after community rowing had developed through Albert College.

The facility includes an indoor exercise area with rowing machines and weights, plus an indoor rowing tank for year-round training. On-water activity runs on the Bay of Quinte during the warmer season.

Current programmes are aimed at adults. Learn-to-row starts with instruction in the training facility before moving to practical water sessions, while experienced members can take a summer membership running from late May to late October.

The club says summer members may have opportunities to attend regattas. Rowing Canada’s 2025 annual report recorded 45 registered Quinte participants for the 2024/25 reporting period, up from 26 in the previous period.
